Chemicals for our photomaterials

SM-6 developer and PBU-Amidol bleach

Chemicals for the most popular photomaterials - VRP-M, PFG-01 and PFG-03C can be obtained directly from Geola (EU and some other countries, please check with our sales office). This set is designed for VRP-M, PFG-01 and PFG-03C and works for both transmission and reflection holograms. Set consists of SM-6 developer and PBU-Amidol bleach. SM-6 developer requires a very low exposure compared to other developers.

Processing power

Chemical set enables one to process 1.3 square meters of the photomaterials or ~100 sheets (102x127mm) of PFG-01 or VRP-M film.

Storage

The developer’s solution remains developing properties while stored in dark room conditions for three days. Bleaching solution can be stored in dark room conditions for about one month. Processing even one film in the developing and bleaching solutions noticeably reduce their lifetime. All solutions should be stored in the closed glass or non-active plastic bottles in a room temperature and darkness.

Work with chemicals

It is important to follow good laboratory practice while processing the photomaterials. The chemicals included in Geola’s set are not poisonous, however, please wipe up any spillage as soon as it occurs and use the polythene gloves.
