| 3D Holographic portraits with mobile phone 
Yes, from now on you can make holographic imaging with your mobile phone and get digital hologram of your friend for as less as 50 euro for hologram in size of 13x18 cm. Read below how to do it. Or read the article we were invited to present at Photonics West conference in January 2010.

| How to make 3D hologram with your mobile phone | |||
Since our i-Lumograms are digital holograms created from sequence of images, it is possible to use conventional mobile phone to make this sequence. All what you need is to have a mobile phone which is capable to record video in resolution of at least 240x320 pixels. | |||

| When your phone is setup for video recording, all what you need to do is to ask your subject to swing her head slowly from left to right and make a video of her face movement. | |||

| You then will send this video to us as e-mail attachment - video will be quite small ~100kB, so we shall receive it with easy. We will process your video and send you the preview, showing how hologram will look like from different points of view - see the preview sample below: | |||

Q: I’m interested in getting Geola to produce some small iLumogram mobile phone moving image holograms. I have a movie function on my digital stills camera with the same or better resolution than a mobile phone; will this be okay? Also have a Canon HD HV30 camcorder; would this be better, or would the higher definition not be suitable for your system?
A: Any movie making device will do the job. But video made in such a way is only suitable for iLumograms in size of up to 20x30cm. Definition is not so crucial for our holographic printing - for iLumogram in size 1x1.5m we need video camera resolution 720x1024 pixels. The critical point is camera movement in front of the scene. Our software allows to get the right frames from almost any video for small ilumogram sizes only. For sizes bigger than 20x30cm HoloCam device shall be used as imaging device. | |||
